The whole racing community is suffering from deep pain and sadness as they lost one of their most dedicated and incredible, Cheltenham Gold Cup-winning trainer Mark Bradstock sadly passed away yesterday, i.e., 2 March 2024, at the age of 66.
His tragic departure was announced through social media among his admirers and loved ones; as the news spread, it cast somber clouds over the sports community as they lost a great winning trainer.
Cause of death:
The exact reason behind the demise of Mark Bradstock has not been announced yet, but it has been said that he had been battling an illness for a very long with courage and bravery, but ultimately, he died and left behind this world and his horses.
About Mark Bradstock:
He trained Coneygree to become the first Novice in over 40 years to win the Gold Cup. A feat that is truly very hard to accomplish and something we may only see for a maximum of 40-plus years. After this win beyond the racetrack, the victory cemented Mark Bradstock’s reputation as a great trainer and became well acclaimed.
If the conditions at Cheltenham stay gentle or demanding, the horse may face the Irish in the National Hunt Chase the following week. His last runner, Mr. Vango, won the Devon National by 60 lengths last week. The Gold Cup was won by Chasers in 2015, along with the Hennessy Gold Cup (2011) with Carruthers and the Bet365 Gold Cup (2018) with Step Back.
He had a loving and generous nature along with a great sense of humor; his love for horses was undeniable; he trained them with dedication and embarked on racing history, and he nailed it in the best possible way. Bradstock and his wife Sara frequently have more than a dozen inexpensively purchased or homebred horses at Old Manor Stables in Letcombe Bassett.
His whole family is into it, along with his wife and children. His son Alfie is an international showjumper – and will continuing his father’s legacy.

Details about the last rituals will be announced later; his loved ones want to bid him farewell for all the contributions he made and the part he played in highlighting this sport.
