Milton da Silva, the father of three-time champion Ayrton Senna, died of natural causes this Wednesday (27), in São Paulo
This Wednesday morning (27), Milton Teodoro Guirado da Silva, father of Ayrton Senna, died of natural causes, aged 94. The information was published by the pilot’s official Instagram profile. “Mr. Milton Guirado Theodoro da Silva, a father of Ayrton Senna, died on Wednesday. Our feelings for all family and friends. Thank you, Miltão”, said the publication.
Throughout his life, Milton dedicated himself to the growth of Ayrton Senna, following the career of the Brazilian idol from the first go-kart races to world achievements in Formula 1 .
Milton was married to Neyde Joanna Senna since 1956 and they had three children: Ayrton, Leonardo, and Viviane. He worked for years in the automobile business and created Universal, a metallurgical company. In addition, it participated in civil construction projects and invested in agriculture in several regions of Brazil.
After the tragic accident in May 1994, which took Ayrton’s life, Miltão, as he was affectionately nicknamed, became more reclusive, avoiding personal exposure. Close friends of the family said that he hardly watched the races and hardly visited the institute with his son’s name, in São Paulo.
He was born in the North Zone of São Paulo and started selling cars and moved into the metallurgical industry. Invested in civil construction and agricultural creation.
