Who Was Avery Harned? Obituary, Cause Of Death, Funeral

A Kentucky citizen and University of Louisville student passed away on January 8, 2023. At 18, Avery Harned passed away on Sunday at her home. On Tuesday, her death was declared. The public has not been informed of the reason for death.

The funeral will be held at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville on Friday, January 13, at 11 a.m. Buffalo Cemetery will afterward host the funeral. The funeral home will be open for visitation from 1 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and after 9 a.m. on Friday.

Her grandmother Florine Langley of Louisville, great-grandmother Barry and Teresa Shumate of Hodgenville, Cathy and Dale Morris of Hodgenville, and Jack McClure of Buffalo are among the survivors, in furthermore to her mother Amy (Nathan) McClure of Hodgenville and father Patrick (Jen Patton) Harned of Louisville.

Avery was pursuing a bachelor’s degree in law at the University of Louisville after getting her diploma from LaRue County High School in 2021 and attending ECTC for a major portion of her high school credit hours. She had already graduated from LaRue County High School with a diploma.

She learned that in the fall of 2023, she would begin her studies at the Air Force Academy. When she started working at Hinton’s Orchard, the staff and clients treated her like a family member.

Avery formerly belonged to the 4-H club, and she enjoyed being outside. At the beach, she participated in shooting sports and hunting; despite all of these activities, she always looked stylish.

She was the most stunning girl in the world. Whether she was wearing makeup or working on a farm, it didn’t matter what she was doing. Her grandfather, Virgil Harned, had passed away by the time she was born.
