Sergio Razta, a Latino influencer who showed his remarkable humour through his YouTube channel, suddenly disappeared from the online world in 2018, sparking a rumour of his death.
Who was Sergio Razta?
He was born on 6 January 1994. He was a well-known YouTuber and provided content that celebrated Latino culture. On 21 December 2011, He released a video titled’ Why you should date a Mexican’ and gained over 3.4 million views. The video was the stepping stone in his YouTube career, through which he gained fame internationally with an increased spike in his
YouTube channel growth.
He was the first Latino vlogger in his community when there were only a few Latino video creators. He earned around 800,000 subscribers due to his comedic videos “Annoying My Mom” and “You Know You Have Mexican Parents When.” His captivated Latino content put him with the renowned YouTube stars Jenna Marbles and Tyler Oakley.
The disappearance of Sergio Razta
Sergio Razta had a large fan following, and at the peak of his fame, he faced fraud allegations to con the people. He offered to sell the laptop at a discounted price. He asked his followers to message him for details, ultimately leading him to face an allegation of selling counterfeit electronics.
In his last video on 14 July 2018, he cleared that he was not involved in fraudulent activity to sell counterfeit gadgets and decided to delete his YouTube channel. Since then, he disappeared from the digital world with no information of his whereabouts, which sparked his death rumour.
Rumours about his death
Many rumours have been raised regarding his sudden disappearance. Some people suggest that his videos began to lose fans as he was battling with depression, and things went wrong when his fans demanded quality content as he failed to produce content with quality due to his personal issues and eating disorders. YouTuber PanchoDoesItBetter released that these health issues put his life in trouble, and he was unable to create original and quality content.
Some people alleged that he died due to an overdose of Xanax in 2018 or due to fat shaming, while some people claimed that he relocated to Chicago to avoid arrest.
None of these claims have gained any evidence that supports them. Many unverified allegations have been circulating on social media. However, his true fans still fondly remember and admire him and hope that he will come and continue his YouTube journey. Sergio Razta’s family have not yet responded to the allegations.
