He was recently serving his dream job in the South Carolina Independent Schools Association, where he was serving as an executive director till his death.

A funeral service will be scheduled at 11: am on Monday, January 8, 2024, at Weldon Auditorium with Rev Mike Lowder and Rev Jay Wilder officiating. The Burial service will be at Clarendon Memorial Gardens.
