Dr. Spencer Averitt Jordan, a reputable Reverend Doctor and a pastor at Jerusalem and Elloree, has sadly passed away after battling with a life-threatening disease, cancer. He was under treatment at the hospital, fighting for his life, but he finally had to surrender himself to death due to bad prognoses of the disease. Who was Doctor Spencer Jordan?
Dr Spencer Jordan was born in Lake City on November 22, 1968, to Shirley McKenzie Jordan and the late Averitt Kendyle Jordan. Dr. Spencer had a profound passion and keen interest in teaching and coaching, which paved the way for his future. He joined Laurence Manning Academy, where he served as a Headmaster for 14 years. He was recently serving his dream job in the South Carolina Independent Schools Association, where he was serving as an executive director till his death.
In addition, he also possessed athletic prowess and was a member of the American Legion Baseball Program. His love for the lord made him serve as a pastor at Mt. Vernon Methodist church and Lane Methodist church. Spencer showed his immense love and commitment to the lord. He was a respected leader of the church who had future plans for the church. He had a lasting influence on the people through his thoughtful speeches in the congregation.
What happened to Doctor Spencer Jordan?
Dr spencer Jordan was battling with life-threatening cancer disease. The type of his cancer has not been disclosed, but it has been reported that he was not doing well and fighting the complications associated with the cancer, which declined his health. He underwent a PET scan and Lumber puncture test a few days back. A regular update about his health had been shared on Facebook posts with a request for his recovery from the treatment, but on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, he passed away at Mcleod Regional Medical Centre.

Dr Spencer is survived by his wife, Kimberly Vosberg Jordan; his two sons, Jake Jordan and Mickey Jordan; his mother, sister, and nephews; and other family members.

A visitation for Dr. Jordan will be scheduled on Sunday, January 7, 2024, from 4 pm to 6 pm at Stephens Funeral Home in Manning.
Funeral
A funeral service will be scheduled at 11: am on Monday, January 8, 2024, at Weldon Auditorium with Rev Mike Lowder and Rev Jay Wilder officiating. The Burial service will be at Clarendon Memorial Gardens.
