Audie Blaylock was born in EI Paso, Texas and raised in Lansing, Michigan. From his early days in school, he used to play guitar and mandolin in regional bands. Audie spent most of his adult life in Bluegrass and became a distinctive voice of Bluegrass. He also served as a promoter for a Charlotte Bluegrass festival and was considered a ‘favorite Son’ of the Charlotte Bluegrass Festival.

Audie Blaylock has worked with many renowned music artists, including Jimmy Martin, Tom Adams, Mel Besher and Charlie Cline. In 1982, he became famous through his Mandolin gigs with Jimmy Martin and remained with him for nine years. He later played with Red Allen and with Harley Allen, and in 1993, after the death of Red, he got a job with Lynn Morris’s band.

From 1999 to 2003, he sang songs and played the guitar with The Rage and Rhonda Vincent. After his collaboration, he started his solo career and sidetracked shortly from 2006-2007, when he started working with Michael Cleveland and Flamekeeper, which featured Audie Blaylock.
After spending his period with Michael Cleveland, he restarted his band Redline as lead singer and guitarist which caused widespread recognition of the band with its back-to-back hit songs.

Audie’s biggest achievement and breakthrough came as a coordinator of the album, A Tribute to Jimmy Martin: The King of Bluegrass, in which he covered classics of Martin with some of the top musicians of 2004. That was a collective effort by many stars including sonny Osborne recorded voice for the introductory tribute to The king J.D. Crowe, Ben Isaacs and Jason Moore on bass, Kenny Ingram on banjo, Jesse brock on mandolin and Michael Cleveland on fiddle. The album received a Grammy award, and Audie got the privilege to represent his hero music.
