He was then quickly stopped and overpowered, disarmed, and stabbed multiple times, reportedly about 30 times.

According to the report, the gunman tried to flee the scene from the back door of the restaurant, but it was locked. He ran back to the main area, where many individuals overpowered him, where he was one time shot in his head, disarmed, and beaten by the chair multiple times by the individuals in the restaurant.

Footage of his death was taken and has been circulating on social media, which shows him on the ground and all bloody before being struck to the head. Gardaí have appealed to the public not to share the videos. In response to the shooting and stabbing, patrols were also set up in the area.

A 47-year-old man was shifted to the hospital and treated for his severe injuries after being shot by Tristan Sherry.
