Tristan Sherry Shot to Death with His Own Gun on Christmas Evening: Funeral Details?

The Irish capital has been in a wave of distressing incident that occurred on Christmas evening by a gunman who was brutally killed after entering the Dublin steakhouse. The shooter was identified as Tristan Sherry, who was reportedly a Dublin gangster. Gardaí has initiated its investigation into the ongoing matter.

Dublin gangster Tristan Sherry, a man who was reportedly 26 years old from Finglas, entered the Brownes Steakhouse in Blanchardstown on the Christmas evening of 24 December and started firing off rounds from the sub-machine gun at a 47-year-old man who was having dinner with his son. He was then quickly stopped and overpowered, disarmed, and stabbed multiple times, reportedly about 30 times.

According to the report, the gunman tried to flee the scene from the back door of the restaurant, but it was locked. He ran back to the main area, where many individuals overpowered him, where he was one time shot in his head, disarmed, and beaten by the chair multiple times by the individuals in the restaurant.

Footage of his death was taken and has been circulating on social media, which shows him on the ground and all bloody before being struck to the head. Gardaí have appealed to the public not to share the videos. In response to the shooting and stabbing, patrols were also set up in the area.

A 47-year-old man was shifted to the hospital and treated for his severe injuries after being shot by Tristan Sherry.

Ongoing investigation

Gardaí is actively investigating the matter. It has been revealed that Gardaí are treating the case as drug-related. They claimed that the case is linked to the ongoing feud among criminals in the Finglas area. No arrests have been made until now.

Gardaí also looked for the machine gun Tristan used in the shooting, which was not located in the scene, and looked for the Tristan associates who came with him but later fled in a white Audi.

Gardaí revealed that they knew the threat and warned the victim to flee before his car burned out, but he refused to cooperate with the authorities.

A GoFundMe page was set up by his mother, Marey Hand, to raise funds for Tristan’s funeral. The family was heartbroken and launched an appeal of € 7,000, but the fund was pulled on 27 December 2023 by the organizer. Less than €700 was raised by family and friends.
