Tragic Loss of Chavion Smith: Former Football Player of Statesville High School Died in Atlanta Stabbing

The premature death of Statesville, North Carolina, native Chavion Smith occurred in Atlanta, Georgia. He, unfortunately, passed away on Wednesday in the East Atlanta Village neighbourhood.

Chavion Smith, a former Statesville High School football player, was stabbed and killed in Atlanta on Wednesday at the age of 20. Police discovered Smith at about 10:50 p.m. on October 4, 2013, in East Atlanta. He was sent to Grady Memorial Hospital and pronounced dead there.

According to the police, 20-year-old Chavion Smith was attempting to stop someone from reportedly breaking into a cart on Flat Shoals Avenue in order to take something.
