Tonya Knight became a front-runner in Women’s Bodybuilding competitions owing to her superior conditioning, strategic posing techniques, and balanced physique. Ms. International, which at the time was the second-most prestigious Women’s Bodybuilding competition after Mr. Olympia, was won by Tonya Knight (from 1989 onwards, The annual Arnold Sports Festival included the Ms. International competition. She also made an appearance on the Olympia stage.
In 1991, Tonya Knight competed once more on the Ms. International stage and succeeded. This would be her remarkable career’s last win. Her last two competitions in bodybuilding were the 1992 Ms. International, where she placed sixth, and the 1993 Jan Tana Classic, where she took third.
