The tragic death of a respected officer and member of the staff has left Glen Cove EMS in mourning. On Monday, April 3, 2023, the emergency medical technician Susan Giovanniello was declared dead.
She was only 19 when she passed away. After a Saturday night into Sunday morning shift with the duty crew, EMT Susan Giovanniello experienced a medical emergency.
“Glen Cove EMS lost one of the sweetest and purest beings I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting early this morning. Susie passed away far too soon and will be sorely missed. Peace be with you, beautiful girl. Please think about contributing whatever you can.”
Wednesday from 3:00 to 5:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm is visitation time at the Dodge-Thomas Funeral Home in Glen Cove. Thursday at 10:00 am, St. Rocco RC Church will host a funeral service. burial in the Holy Rood Cemetery.
Everyone is expressing their sympathies and paying honor to Susan Angela Giovanniello. Many are already missing her, thinking of her, and hoping for her afterlife.
On August 28, 2003, Susan Angela Giovanniello was born in Glen Cove, New York. She always had the most radiant smile on her face, as anybody in the room could verify.
She spent more than a year employed by Glen Cove EMS as an emergency medical technician. Before becoming an EMT, she spent several years as an EMS explorer at the Glen Cove Emergency Medical Services station. No matter how difficult genetics and organic chemistry were, Susan always had a smile on her face. She was a lot of fun to be with. Susan traveled with the expedition as their secretary.
As a friend and coworker, she set a high bar for others to follow. She will always be remembered and missed. cherished child of Lou and Julie. loving Jessica and Michael’s sister.
