Laura Duke Zito, a citizen of Nederland, Texas, and a former student at Lamar University passed away tragically, leaving his family in shock and great sadness.
Michael Zito, Laura’s husband, posted on social media about her passing this way:
“Our sweet girl, Laura Lena Duke Zito, has taken her last breath and smiled as she passed peacefully today a little after 1 pm in Nederland, Tx. She was surrounded by her family and all the love in the world. She is no longer in pain or suffering. I held her hand and told her I loved her as Sophie and Josie were beside her. She smiled and closed her eyes.
The world will not be the same without her, and our world will forever be changed.
She was a teacher through and through and taught us to love and live life to the fullest until her final hour.
We will keep you posted on her services as they come together this week.
Please, everyone needs some space right now to process.”
Her death’s circumstances were not public, and her family did not mention how she passed away.
The family may announce the details of the obituary later because they are currently grieving and in sorrow.
She passed away, leaving her devoted husband and children behind. Laura’s students and colleagues at Nederland ISD, where she taught retired seventh grade, are also mourning and remembering her. They have paid respect to her, sent condolences, and prayed for her afterlife.
Laura was a wonderful person who was ideal for every role in life, including wife, mother, mentor, and teacher. She always had a kind and loving heart and was eager to lend a hand to anyone who needed it or sought aid in any way she could.
