Steve White, a defensive end with the Buccaneers and Jets during his seven seasons in the NFL, passed away on Tuesday at 48. Doctors advised a bone marrow transplant because he already had chronic lymphocytic leukaemia for eight years.
The Buccaneers expressed their sadness on Wednesday at Steve White’s demise following a long fight with cancer.
