On Thursday, April 27, 2023, Shari Quai passed away following a valiant fight with cancer. She had been battling colorectal cancer for five years at 40.
She worked as a CRNA in the medical field and was a devoted wife and mother who always volunteered her time to help others.
She took a plane from Salt Lake City, Utah, to San Antonio, Texas, to sign up for a cancer trial that was currently being conducted and matched to her particular mutation.
A GoFundMe campaign was set up by Tricia Smallwood, who also left the following message:
Shari passed away early yesterday. Life without her dazzling love, which embraced everyone who entered her life, is unimaginable. She was intelligent, gorgeous, and incredibly kind. She enlivened life with crazy good adventures. She genuinely lived each day.
Three kids, ages 15, 7, and 5, were born to Shari Quai and her husband, Josh. Shari, 40, has fought colorectal cancer for five years. She was a devoted wife and mother who works as a CRNA in the medical field and who has consistently volunteered her time to help others.
She was with her husband, Josh and her father, Mike Linn, who flew to San Antonio. Her family and doctors want to return her to Utah once she has stabilised. The $60,000 target, $32,139 have been raised with 474 contributions, which facilitate the family’s needs and helped organise the funeral services, which they later announced.
