14-year-old who died in the fatal Stanley County vehicle accident on Saturday was River Ludemann.

Around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 27, 2023, a single-car collision claimed the life of a kid from Fort Pierre, South Dakota.

According to the Stanley County Sheriff’s Office, the collision happened at Oahe Dam, off Highway 1806, in an area designated for off-road vehicles.

Law enforcement arrived on the scene after hearing about a car crash with a potential victim nearby. The teenager was found by the authorities confined inside a Jeep.

According to the Stanley County Sheriff’s Office, River was taken to Avera St. Mary’s Hospital in Pierre by the responding AMR ambulance.

According to the department, the teenage male death was officially pronounced at the hospital. The South Dakota Highway Patrol, Pierre Rescue Squad, Fort Pierre Volunteer Fire Department, and South Dakota Game, Fish, and Parks are among the various organisations said to have reacted to the event.
