The heartbreaking incident occurred after 2:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning on President Street close to Utica Avenue in Crown Heights, New York. The authorities swiftly shifted the victim to Kings County Hospital by ambulance, where he lost his life due to the fatal shooting that occurred in Crown Heights.

Authorities reported that the young man was identified as Rapper Rico G, who was brutally shot and killed at 1677 President Street in Crown Heights on January 30, 2024.
