Punjabi singer Surinder Pal Dhammi, better known by his stage as Surinder Shinda, passed away tragically after a protracted illness, leaving the entire Bollywood industry sad.
Shinda, known as the “grandfather of Music on Console,” was admitted to DMCH on July 26, 2023, and has been on a ventilator ever since.
The musician was admitted to the hospital in critical condition and had already fallen into a coma, which was made worse by kidney failure, according to DMCH Principal Dr Sandeep Puri, who also treated the patient.

He had undergone surgery for an intestinal perforation at some point in the past in another hospital, which caused him to become ill and develop pneumonia. On July 15, he arrived at our facility already in critical condition and using a ventilator.
The doctor stated that he passed away at 6:45 a.m. on Wednesday for all the reasons mentioned.

Shinda, raised in a carpenter’s home in Ludhiana’s Ayali village, always wanted to succeed. Bachan Ram and Vidyavati, Shinda’s parents, did not come from a wealthy family.
Bachan Ram, though, served as his first mentor. He had a wonderful classical voice. Shinda was, therefore, able to sing in his own home.
At the infant age of four, he began studying music, according to renowned poet and cultural activist Gurbhajan Gill.
After finishing high school, Shinda enrolled in a mechanical engineering program in Ludhiana and worked for a private company before deciding to pursue singing full-time.
In the most recent period, Shinda produced for upcoming musicians. His most recent album, Dhulla Bhatti, was well-liked in the Punjabi music industry. Surinder Shinda was still singing along to his most recent song, “Hemis Boliyan.”
