Oliver Crain Death: Obituary, Cause Of Death, Funeral

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office stated Wednesday that a 24-year-old driver died after slamming his pickup into a tree near Logansport on Tuesday night.

Incident details:

Preliminary investigations revealed that a pickup truck had driven off the road, collided with a tree, and overturned.

Deputy Michael Thomison’s investigation revealed that a 1998 Chevrolet S10 Pickup Truck had driven off the north side of the road and struck a tree before rolling over.

The driver and registered owner of the Chevrolet, 24-year-old Oliver Cain of Logansport, IN, had to be extricated from the vehicle by the fire personnel before being transported by Cass County Emergency Medical Services to Logansport Memorial Hospital’s helipad to meet an ambulance for transport to a trauma centre. Cain was declared dead before the medical flight.

Bryant Landis, 21, of Logansport, IN, a passenger in the pickup, declined medical treatment at the scene.

In this accident, neither the driver nor the passenger wore a seatbelt. Alcohol is also thought to have played a role in this tragedy.

The Walton Fire Department, Cass County Fire District #1, Indiana State Police, and Cass County Emergency Medical Services responded to the incident. The crash is still being investigated.

Tributes:

“Where do I even begin, Oliver?” We had a fantastic time together. You were such a nice person. Your sense of humour was my favourite since it always made me laugh and smile. I was hoping we could pick up where we left off after we both decided to work things out on our own, but that is not possible, and I will be eternally grateful for the four months we did have together.”Oliver Ianelly Crain will live on in my heart forever.”
