According to the police, a guy was discovered dead on Wednesday near Port Washington after an SUV crashed into the water. A little after three in the afternoon, it happened. The Nassau Country Authorities Department said that a witness near Hempster Harbor saw a white thing drifting in the water and informed the police.
Police discovered the body while investigating a car in the water. Some parking lots and boats are along the water’s edge, and a grassy park divides the beach from West Shore Road. The police have not disclosed the cause of the deadly collision.
The body of the 54-year-old was recovered from the water by the Port Washington Fire Department. At 3:49 PM, he was pronounced dead. Authorities concealed the man’s name. Although Ned Dubofsky’s name hasn’t been made public, there is speculation that he may have been the deceased.
Doubt surrounds whether Ned Dubowski was the incident’s victim. The victim’s name and reasons for driving the SUV into the ocean are unknown.
Although there is a boat ramp nearby, the water is quite deep, according to North Hempstead Township Superintendent Jennifer DeSena. Authorities said that it was already too late to relieve the driver when rescuers came because the victims’ bodies had been discovered floating in the water.
The neighbourhood fire department sent a task group of divers and drones. Many boats looked for the buried car for hours before it was finally dragged out and towed away.
