Globo reported that the cause of death was a plane crash.
Edna Tralli, the mother of journalist Cesar Tralli, died this Sunday (9) in a plane crash in São Paulo. In a note, Globo confirmed the cause of death and offered solidarity to the presenter of Jornal Hoje.
“Globo sympathizes and offers full support to journalist Cesar Tralli on account of the loss of her mother in a plane crash. In the coming days, she will be replaced by Alan Severiano at JH and by Leilane Neubarth at the 18th edition of GloboNews”, says the statement, published by the UOL portal.
The announcement of Edna’s death was first made by presenter Ticiane Pinheiro, Tralli’s wife, through a story on Instagram. “Go in peace mother-in-law,” she wrote in the image, in which she appears next to Edna. “I already miss your hug, your affection, our conversations, your love. I will love you forever”, she added.
Rafaella Justus, daughter of the presenter with her ex-husband, businessman Roberto Justus, also paid tribute on the social network. In a post, Rafa wrote: “Think of a woman with a giant heart, who doesn’t create intrigue, who is super loving and who is a super grandmother. That was her, Edna Tralli, the grandmother that life gave me”.
She even said it was a privilege to work with Edna. “Saying goodbye like this, out of the blue, was very difficult for me. I’m already missing you a lot”, added Rafaella, calling the elderly woman her “fairy godmother”.
Kiki and Jô Pinheiro, sisters of Ticiane, also paid tribute to Edna in their stories. “You’ve had a beautiful life here on Earth,” Kiki said. Jô talked about living together and said that “it’s too hard to believe” in her death. “You were too special to leave so quickly, so young and in such a tragic way,” she wrote.
