Michigan Car Accident Involving Ryan Ambrosio and Jen Dormitorio Ambrosio

Breaking News: A couple returning from their date night was caught in a car crash by a stolen truck driver heading in the wrong direction.

How did the incident happen?

The heartbreaking incident occurred on January 7, 2024, in the early hour of the morning, around 1:30 a.m., near Civic Drive on the Lodge Freeway, where a Farmington Hills couple named 45-year-old man Ryan Ambrosio and 43-year-old woman Jennifer Dormitorio Ambrosio had met their tragic end in the crash.

According to the family, the couple was on their way back home from a lovely dinner date when a driver fleeing from troopers collided with their vehicle.

Michigan state police reported that the suspect who killed the couple was a 35-year-old resident of Romulus who was heading in the wrong way direction of the traffic in a stolen truck. In order to flee from the police, he turned off his vehicle’s headlight, which resulted in a head-on collision with the couple’s vehicle.

GoFundMe

The couple has left behind their six children, which fueled the tragedy and concerns of family, friends, Church, and community groups. A GoFundMe has been set up to support the grieving six children: Maria Grace, Amelia, Faustina, Julian, Raphael, and Benedict. The children’s ages are from 2 years to 9 years old.

People gathered at Our Lady Sorrows Catholic Church in Farmington, where they showed their heartfelt outpourings. The Church’s music director, Noriko Ernst, had taught piano lessons to three of the six children, admiring their well-mannered and focused kids. Ernst stated that they are the kindest people and are worth donating to.
Organizer: Brandi Burke, a resident of Farmington Hills, has organized the fund.

Fund: $199,538 has been raised with 2.4k donations. However, the goal was to reach $75,000

Investigation

The investigation has been actively underway to identify any foul play or circumstances related to the crash. Police had closed the road for 11 hours to properly examine the crash scene. The condition of the driver is critical but will soon recover, police stated, and the case has been shifted to the Oakland County prosecutor.

Funeral

The funeral of the couple will be scheduled on Saturday at our Lady Sorrows Catholic Church.
