On May 6, 2023, Michael Micky Gellar tragically departed away, leaving friends and family in loss and pain. His passing was reported via a Facebook post that read:
“It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we share with all of you the news that Micky Geller, from Ontario, has died suddenly.”
The precise reasons for his death remain unknown to the general public. The West Chapel of Hulse in Ottowa, Canada, will host funeral services on Thursday, May 18, at 1 p.m.
Besides his parents Bobbiann and Mitch, sister Chloe, grandparents Mary Ann and Bob Cormack, Bob and Lynn Macpherson, Larry Geller, and the late Nancy Geller, as well as a large number of beloved aunts, uncles, family members, friends, and teammates, Micky also leaves behind by his dogs Sandy and Daisy.

Mickey was a freshman kinesiology major from Carp, Ontario, Canada, and a National Championship Ragin’ Cajuns Waterski Team member. Micky was ranked 6th globally as a junior water skier in the U21 jump. His friends and family remain in the thoughts, hearts and prayers of many at the University.”
About Michael Micky:
In addition to representing Water Ski Canada numerous times, notably in the U17 IWWF World Championships, the Jr. US Masters Water Ski Tournament, and the 2022 Pan American Championships, Micky was a respected part of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Water Ski Team and the Ontario skiing community.
Micky will be remembered for his incredible work ethic, never-ending zeal, sense of humour, athleticism, and charisma. He adored taking off and flying high, but he also loved rock climbing, riding a motorbike, snowmobiling, having in-depth discussions and arguments about current affairs, and listening to music.
