Melanie Pillman Died: What Was Her Cause Of Death?

Melanie Pillman left this world due to her drug-abusing lifestyle. Other medical examinations are being conducted, soon the post-mortem reports will be live.

We are sad to announce that Melanie Pillman has left us and to report it was her son, AEW Superstar, Brian Pillman Jr. Melanie was the wife of wrestler Brian Pillman who passed away on October 5, 1997.

A beautiful message from the son

On Instagram Pillman Jr wrote: “Yesterday at around 1 pm my mother, Melanie Pillman, was pronounced dead. Those of you who know our family history understand that I have not had the best relationship with my mother, even though my sister and I had recently been in contact with her, working to improve that relationship.

While I didn’t spend too much time with her, she ALWAYS tuned in to my Twitch lives and interacted with my fans, often sharing old stories about my dad and the world of wrestling with them. She had helped my sister with her son Asher with buying baby clothes for him, and she was on relatively good terms with everyone recently.

Her death, although unexpected, was not surprising. Her life choices that dominated the better part of the last 25 years of her life had finally caught up with her. She was as smart as she was beautiful and her dark sense of humor could make even the biggest puritan laugh.

Even though I had resentment toward her, I was very proud of her for taking part in the DSOTR documentary and sharing the truth about our family history. It was the beginning of our relationship.

I have regrets. I regret not giving her attention when she was trying so hard to be back in our lives. I regret not replying to you, even though I took the time to reply. I regret no longer trying to break her bad habits and help her get the help she needed.

A couple of weeks ago she tuned in to my Twitch lives when she told me in chat that she was coming to Linda’s house to drop off some trading cards. I didn’t see him in chat so I was annoyed by her showing up without warning. I met her outside of her and I accepted her gift and I gave her a hug and she went on her way. I’m really sorry I didn’t sit with her for a while or have lunch with her. I regret getting mad at her simply because she wanted to see her child. She actually looked really sane and sober. It was the last time I saw her.

Thank you mom for bringing me into this world and trying to do your best. You were my # 1 fan in wrestling and on Twitch. Rest in peace. I love you.”

We at World Wrestling offer our condolences to the Pillman family.
