The life of a 33-year-old resident of St. Paul, Minnesota, Michael Pleasants, was cut short in a tragic incident that occurred on April 26, 2023. Michael Pleasants was a marijuana dealer and was routinely engaged in his transactions for marijuana. He had been texting with an interested customer named Trayvon Dennis Campbell, a 21-year-old man.

According to criminal complaints, Campbell had asked Michael if he had marijuana available in $100 quantities, to which Michael replied that he only had a pound and would sell it for $1,300. But Campbell had a sinner intention and scheduled a meeting with Pleasants.

Campbell, accompanying Kerri M. Roan, who was 18 years old, scheduled a meeting at Bates Avenue. The Pleasants trusted them and handed over the marijuana. But Roan gunshot Pleasants on his head, and they ran off with marijuana, leaving Pleasants on the ground with fatal wounds.

Law enforcement promptly responded to the situation and shifted the victim to the hospital, but despite several medical attempts, he died in this tragic incident.
Trayvon Dennis Campbell and Kerri M. Roan were taken into custody and charged with second-degree murder because of Pleasant’s death.

On his appearance on Friday, Campbell revealed that he did not know the roan intentions of the fatal shooting and further said that he respects the Pleasants and admits his compassion towards Campbell’s family. At the same time, Roan remains silent throughout the case.
