Maria, a member of the New York Police Department, has sadly died away. She passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2023, in Rego Park, New York, shocking her family and friends. On Sunday, the police department posted on Facebook that she had passed away.
“It is with deep sadness that the 115 Precinct mourns the loss of our sister Police Officer Maria Mesa. Officer Mesa served the City of New York for nine years. She brightened the room with her smile and was a true mentor & inspiration to others. Her memory will live forever in our hearts here in Jackson Heights despite her loss.”
The public is not informed of the death’s reason. Funeral arrangements may be made later by the family. As people learn of the passing of beloved Maria Mesa, they are saddened, crushed, and in grief. They post tributes and condolences to her on social media.
