A well-known South African actress, Manaka Ranaka gained attention after starring in films like Generations: The Legacy, Rhythm City, Home Affairs, etc. There are rumours that Manaka Ranaka has passed away but she is still alive, so there are no facts on the related matter.

Once she revealed the passing of her adored relative, Kagiso Ranaka, bewilderment grew. On May 26, Manaka posted the tragic news about Kagiso on her social media profiles. Kagiso Ranaka, Manaka’s cousin, also passed away at 37.

In 2000, she appeared as Nandipha Sithole in the SABC3 soap series Isidingo. Later in 2002, she was chosen to play Portia in the SABC1 series Gaz’lam. She played Lerata Khumalo in each of the first eight seasons of the sitcom on SABC2.

In 2005, Manaka also appeared in the documentary programme Sex TV. In 2006, she was cast as Nozuko, the lead character, in the SABC3 film One Way. She was given the supporting part of Tshia in the SABC1 drama Vinolia Ntuli later that year.
