About LuAnn Edmonds-Harris:

Edmonds-Harris was a great, inspired mentor. She was a Durham, North Carolina, resident who attended North Carolina Central University and graduated in 1975 with a Bachelor of Arts in theatre arts. She was a dedicated, passionate member of the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA), NCCU Alumni Association, and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

On September 30, 2023, for her outstanding contributions and part, Edmonds-Harris was admitted into the NCCU Athletics Hall of Fame to acknowledge her efforts. She spent more than thirty years working at NCCU, doing jobs in the athletics and admissions departments.

In 2022, Edmonds-Harris announced her retirement from NCCU while holding the titles of Assistant Athletic Director for Administration and Head Cheerleading Coach. During her professional tenure at NCCU, which started in 1986, Edmonds-Harris held titles as an Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions (1996-2008) and Admissions Counselor (1986-1996). Edmonds-Harris was NCCU’s longtime volunteer cheerleading coach from the early 1990s until retirement.
