Officers from the Randfontein Police Department confirmed that the body of missing businessman Leon Hefer found in a field close to Ivory Park Clayville Ext 77 was his on Thursday morning, March 23.
According to Sergeant Carmen Hendricks, a spokesperson for the Randfontein Police, at around 07:00, Detective Lieutenant Colonel Moss of the Randfontein Police, along with Captain Van Der Merwe and the investigating officer Sergeant Seshoka, received information about an unidentified body that had been discovered in Ivory Park and might have matched the description of the missing person that had been reported to the Randfontein Police.
According to the information, the body may have matched the Randfontein missing person’s description.
When Leon Hefer was missing:
Randfontein – Randfontein police are asking the public for help gathering information that could help them find a missing person. The last known location of the missing individual, Leon Hefer, was the Total garage at Lazaar Street and Randgate in Randfontein on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at approximately 12:39.
The missing person was driving a silver Volkswagen Polo with the registration number XXK 182 GP. Since being last spotted, he has been sporting a blue t-shirt, a pair of short blue jeans, and brown sandals.
