Leke Adesoye, the Founder of The Junglist Movement, Has Tragically Passed Away

On Wednesday, 10th October, 2023 reported that Junglist Movement founder Leke Adesoye has left this world.

At the UCL Hospital, he passed away peacefully while surrounded by his loved ones and immediate family.

Leke’s main and root cause for leaving this world was mainly the issues caused by his continued battle with the problematic blood condition known as sickle cell anaemia.

His leg discomfort while moving also made his previously vulnerable health more severe. Due to the long, terrible history of his medical and the rarety of his osteosarcoma cancer of the bones being diagnosed, he eventually passed away in peace.

An emotional social media post was used to declare the devastating news of Leke Adesoye’s departure from the world.
Which was stated, “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Leke Adesoye,”

Therefore, he could not make it and died after an extended illness.

That social media post also thanked everyone there and showed Leke and his loved ones support and affection, especially those who gave money to his GoFundMe campaign.
The NHS staff at UCL Hospital were also praised for their constant support throughout his prolonged hospital stay.

The post, which was made to announce his death, also stated that details about Leke’s memorial service would be released later.

Leke Adesoye had a following in both the drum & bass and jungle instances. Along with Paradox and David Davies, he began his music career as one of the members of the band

Mixrace, publishing music on the highly regarded Moving Shadow label.
Later, he entered the fashion sector by creating the Aerosoul brand, which included several sub-brands of the widely recognized Junglist Movement.

Adesoye’s designs provided a tribute to the hip-hop culture of his youth, and his goal was to design clothes for the rising jungle culture. His designs offered a substitute for the famous fashion trends that were popular in London then.

His battle with prolonged illness of anaemia

Leke Adesoye fought sickle cell anaemia, an inherited blood condition that required frequent blood transfusions to avoid organ damage for a long and arduous period. In addition to a leg injury suffered during the performance, he had a chronic health condition that made life more difficult. His firm determination and fortitude during this prolonged sickness were genuinely incredible.
