Lantz resided in White Lake, Ontario, but was born in Arnprior, Ontario. He and Deb McLaren had a happy marriage. Deb and Lantz exchanged vows on May 26, 1990.
He is a skilled competitor, trainer, and clinician originally from Western Canada but has lived in Ontario since 1979. He founded the Ontario Xtreme Cowboy Association.
Lantz embodied the characteristics of an authentic horseman and cowboy. Lantz was a fantastic competitor, builder, and ambassador for cowboy racing. He held the first EXCA clinic in the province of Quebec in the spring of 2013.
He was a man who helped many people realise their dreams and do things they never thought were possible.
From the young to the old, he helped them participate in loving and having fun that he thought was appropriate for everyone. Lantz was the type of person who delighted in gathering people and hearing their stories.
