The loss of Michigan’s Manitou Beach resident Laney Chantal, 33, is being mourned by her family and friends. On October 31, 2022, Laney passed away, with an accidental drug overdose listed as the cause of death.

Laney was a cherished daughter, sister, and friend to everybody who knew her. She will be greatly missed. Social media users instantly shared their condolences and memories of Laney Chantal as news of her passing spread.

On (probably) Saturday, November 12, a luncheon will be hosted in Alaina’s honor. The family kindly invites everyone to attend. Although the venue has not yet been chosen, it will probably be shared later on social media.

On February 20, 1989, Thomas and Linda Parkhurst welcomed Alaina Chantal, also known as Laney Chantal Parkhurst, into the world in Adrian, Michigan. Alaina grew up in Manitou Beach, Michigan, with her parents and two older sisters, Laurel Parkhurst of Manitou Beach and Shanna (Eric) Navarre of Tecumseh, Michigan.

Before graduating from Hudson High School in 2007, she spent her elementary and junior high years at Saint Joseph’s Academy, where she competed in Lenawee County 4-H, soccer, and basketball events.

Alaina enjoyed skating with her friends, concerts, and spending a lot of time at lakes in the summer. Alaina relocated to Los Angeles after finishing high school in California. She enrolled at Cinema Makeup School in 2008, graduating with a diploma that will enable her to succeed as a makeup artist for special effects.

Whatever the challenge, Alaina gave it her all—body, mind, and spirit. Her portfolio quickly grew because of how quickly her artistic talent and vision set her apart from other local artists.
