According to Lee County Sheriff Stacy Weber, a player for Central Lee Volleyball has passed away following a fatal car collision that occurred on Iowa Highway 16 on Saturday afternoon.
Kodi Moeller has been named as the victim. Reports state that Kodi Moeller of Donnellson, Iowa, died from injuries incurred in the car accident.
The collision happened near the intersection of 205th Avenue and Iowa Highway 16.

Authorities claim that a 2003 GMC Envoy heading north was involved in a catastrophic accident near the intersection of 205th Ave.
Due to the Envoy’s driver’s failure to yield, a semi-truck front passenger side was hit. Levi A. Whaley, a 21-year-old Mount Pleasant, Iowa resident, operated the semi. According to law enforcement officials, the collision’s severity forced the Envoy driver out of the car.
Sadly, it was discovered that the motorist was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision. The motorist lost their life in the collision due to their injuries.
