Kamneev Rai, a violinist and the performance coordinator for the Baltic Academies Orchestras, died tragically. She battled Ewing’s sarcoma until she passed away on Monday, February 13, 2023.
We are grieved to announce the departure of our dear volunteer, Kamneev Rai, United Sikhs said in a Facebook post announcing Kamneev’s death.
The family may provide more information on funeral services in the future. Everyone, including friends and relatives, is mourning Kamneev and remembering her, and they are expressing their condolences and memories of her on social media.
During the academic years 2012 to 2017, Kamneev Rai attended Augustana College. She joined Delta Chi Theta, Sigma Alpha Iota- Delta Tau, the American String Teachers Association, the National Association for Music Educators, and the Augustana Symphony Orchestra while she was there.
She obtained Bachelor of Arts (B.A. ), Business Administration, Finance, and Instrumental Music Education degrees from Augustana College.
In 2021, she received a Master of Music in Violin Performance after continuing her education at the Chicago College of Performing Arts. She performed an internship at Aon Hewitt in the division of Human Resources | Global Talent Development.
She served as a student teacher at Denkmann Elementary School, a part of RISD41 in Rock Island, Illinois, between August 2016 and February 2017.
Kamneev worked as a student teacher in the orchestra division at the Pleasant Valley School District, situated in Leclaire, Iowa, from September 2016 to February 2017.
She spent a total of one year and ten months studying at the Chicago College of Performing Arts Music Conservatory, starting in August 2019 and finishing in May 2021, to obtain her Master of Music in violin playing. She played violin and served as the Performance Coordinator for the Baltic Academies Orchestras for six years and one month.
