Jessica Ralston is a renowned self-described ‘Ohio girl at heart’ known for her role as an anchor of the morning show Good Day Columbus, which airs from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on ABC6/FOX28, where she has been showing her exceptional career in journalism.
Born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio, and after graduating from Youngstown State University, she started her career at WFMJ-TV21 in Youngstown, Ohio, where she served as a producer and later paved her role in a growing career in Clarksburg, West Virginia. She then spanned a decade at WSAZ TV-3 in Charleston.
Jessica later moved to Nashville, where she anchored at WTVF News channel 5 and was acknowledged as a style setter by Nashville Scene magazine.

Jessica Ralston, anchor of the morning show ‘ Good Day Columbus’ has shared a heart-wrenching Facebook post on Wednesday in which she announced that she is taking a break from Good Day Columbus and soon she will be back when she feels that she can face the world. Remembering her husband, she said she lost her best friend, home, and person who took away their 14 years old laughter, love, and tears.
Addressing the public, she said she is shattered to the extent that she has no idea how to navigate her loss as she has never gone through the pain before and never known this pain, but asking people, she said that people might know as many of them have experienced the pain.
She further stated that she couldn’t pull herself at this time and appeared on the show with the same laughter and smile, which is why she took a break to navigate her loss and to find her way to tackle the pain.
Jessica also requested everyone who had any advice or words to share with her as she needed it the most at this challenging phase of her life.
