Jessica Crockett, a dedicated and caring registered nurse at IU Health Lifeline Operations Center, has been brutally killed by her ex estranged husband, Ryan Gibbs, who deliberately entered her house in Grevillea Lane through a basement window and killed his ex-wife and later killed himself on 18 December 2023. The investigation has been actively underway to identify the circumstances of Jessica Crockett’s murder.
How did the incident happen?
The tragic incident occurred on Gravillea lane in the early hours of Monday, 18 December 2023, at around 3:00 a.m. when the distressing call for the break-in incident resulted in the swift response of the law enforcement authorities to ensure proper safety of other occupants of the area.
Police reached the scene and discovered the distressing situation of fear as they identified the two lifeless bodies, which were later determined to be Jessica Crockett and her ex-husband Ryan Gibbs. According to reports, Jessica was sleeping when her ex-husband showed his violent act of murder.
The police department has been actively investigating the murder case to identify the related events to further unfold the details of the murder case and the distressing life of Jessica Crockett.
Investigation unfolds
The court has revealed the past events in the life of the victim that shows the violent relationship between Jessica and her ex-husband. In April, Ryan was caught in a legal problem due to his distressing actions towards his wife. His disturbing nature resulted to his detain and the series of charges that he encountered.
He was charged with intimidation, stalking, interruption of privacy, violence against law enforcement and leaking of private images of Jessica; however, he did not stop his interference in Jessica’s life and extended it beyond the court’s orders in April to not contact Jessica Crockett.
Ryan Gibbs continues to violent the court’s order not to contact Jessica and violating the non-contact order by trying to decline Jessica’s reputation through posting explicit pictures of Jessica in her workplace and local area. Despite these distressing situations, Jessica remained determined to fulfil her duty as a registered nurse.
The court has also documented the allegation against Ryan Gibbs as there is evidence of his cruel and inhuman act of violence. The matter also provides the urgent need to take the matter of domestic violence seriously and to prevail justice before it’s too late.
