In Henry County, Indiana, a 15-year-old girl lost her life on Monday night due to a tragic accident.
The unexpected and unfortunate death of Jeneka Lancaster has shocked and grieved her family, friends, and the neighbourhood.
Crash details:
The incident that took Jeneka’s life happened on Monday night close to the 4000 block of S. Kennard Road, according to Indiana State Police. A young person from New Castle was operating the 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt that Jeneka was riding in.
As the car left the road, entered a field and turned over on its driver’s side, it was moving north on Kennard Road. Jeneka was given the prognosis of death at the scene in spite of efforts to save her life.
While the reason for the crash is still being looked into, the car’s driver is receiving emergency treatment at a nearby hospital.

Visitation will occur at Hensley-Brown in New Castle on Friday, April 14th. The Tri Jr.-Sr. The high gymnasium will host service from 3 to 8 pm on Saturday, April 15th.

An Indiana native from New Castle, Jeneka Lancaster, was 15 years old. She attended New Castle High School and was well-known for her friendly disposition, love of basketball, and outgoing nature.
In addition to having the comedy to make everyone grin and the intellect to rival her father, which is no small feat, Jeneka was the light in any dark place. She recently became a member of the National Honor Society and excelled in the FFA, Varsity Cheer, Track, and many other areas.
