Jason Twist Death: Obituary, Cause Of Death, Funeral

World Champion 8-ball pool player Jason Twist sadly passed away. Before his death on Sunday, May 14, 2023, he had won four World Championships in an 8-ball pool.

The official will announce the obituary details in the future without revealing the precise cause of his death. Everyone becomes depressed and grieved when Jason dies, missing and remembering the iconic character.

Twist started playing at 12, and he set himself to win the world championship. The Devonian, already an England international and a Brunswick Masters champion, beat Stacey Vine and Terry Hunt in decisive frames in front of the cameras to advance to the 1995 WEPF World 8-Ball Pool Championship final in Chorley. However, his dream was dashed when he lost to fellow countryman Daz Ward 11-8.

In 2000, Twist entered the World Championship in Blackpool as perhaps the world’s most in-form player. Five years later, he was on a mission and a charge.

He had recently won the Home International and the European Championships, taking four of the previous six major championships on the circuit. He was full of confidence.

He played for outstanding England teams that captured numerous world and European titles.

In 1999, he also assisted his county team Devon to win the EPA English Intercounty Championship. Twist competed in the Ilfracombe & District Pool League at home on Devon’s north coast; his team, “Twisty’s Tornados,” only just won the top level last year.

Tributes:

“RIP Jason Twist.

A World Champion of our sport, taken way too soon.

We had the pleasure of having Jason over for an exhibition with AIT at Charlie Brown’s Athlone about 8 years ago.

A legend of our sport!

A Gentleman! RIP.”

“Yesterday was difficult to process; shock, sadness, disbelief, too many emotions. This man was a legend and an even better friend. So many great memories. RIP Jason Twist x.”
