Jason Lawner, a renowned and well-known yoga instructor from south Florida, has unexpectedly passed away. This past weekend, Jason Lawner, better known as Jay Bird to many, unfortunately, died in a ski accident in Utah. There was no information given about the incident. He was renowned for his enthusiasm, zeal, and clarity.
Our hearts are so heavy as we relay some heartbreaking news, the Dearest Mosaic yoga community said. Jason Lawner, a valued member of our family, passed away yesterday. Tragically, he died in a skiing mishap.
There is no information readily available about the funeral services. Everyone is mourning, remembering, and posting condolences and memorials to him on social media.
“I know that Jason Pablo Lawner represented many different things to different individuals, but for me, he was an inspiration. His relaxed manner, grin, and upbeat attitude could make any space more cheerful (whether it was a yoga studio, a house, or an office). While these traits might appear familiar, Jason had a unique combination and abundance of them, making him unique.”
Lawner spent more than ten years as a yoga instructor and expert in rehabilitative exercise. In addition to using movement strategies to aid clients in healing from injuries, a large portion of his work entailed mentoring and educating aspiring yoga instructors. The Frost School of Music at The University of Miami awarded him a B.M. in Music Business.
He used to play the trumpet. After relocating to Utah, Lawner realised he wanted a change of pace. Real estate not only complemented his current work schedule but also felt like a logical progression from what he already enjoyed: interacting with and supporting people.
Lawner enjoyed being active outdoors and partaking in adventures. In addition to climbing, skiing, snowboarding, hiking, backpacking, camping, biking, and learning new skills, he also enjoyed cooking and grew up watching his father prepare French-style reduction sauces. At home, he enjoyed spending time in the kitchen making filling meals.
