The tragic incident occurred on Friday morning at around 10:00 a.m., where a woman who was identified as 33 years old Theresa Cachuela, was fatally shot and killed by her 44-year-old estranged husband, Jason Cachuela, after a heated altercation in a parking lot near Pearlridge Mall.
According to the reports, their eight-year-old daughter witnessed the scene and called the Honolulu police department. Authorities swiftly responded and reached the scene just after 10.00 a.m. near a Bank of Hawaii branch and Pali Momi Hospital and discovered Theresa Cachuela deceased at the scene. At the same time, Jason Cachuela fled from the scene shortly after domestic violence turned deadly.
Authorities actively searched for the suspect and later found Jason Cachuela dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound while searching the Waipahu area and found Jason at home in Waipahu, where he was seen committing suicide.
