Jarno Cordia Accident: Death, Obituary, Wiki, Funeral

FlyLikeBrick owner and coach Jarno Cordia, 44, of the Netherlands, died unexpectedly on January 6, 2023. After jumping while wearing a wingsuit, he passed away in Switzerland on Wednesday.

He was performing his routine exercise as a Wingsuiter jumper. He leaped from the Hig La Mousse, a high diving platform, but afterward experienced a crash and was repeatedly smashed into the rock wall.

He suffered his injuries as a result of the collision right away. Sister Kordia stated on Facebook that Michael’s “leap of faith” in Switzerland was his final.

No specifics about the funeral services offered at the moment have yet been released; they may do so later.

Social media is packed with comments from friends, family, and organizations mourning and expressing grief over his passing. He is referred to as one of the most skilled wingsters in the world and a “pioneer of the wingster community.”

Base jumping is an extreme sport in which a competitor leaps from a considerable height while wearing a special suit (a wingsuit), then flies through the air. Jarno Cordia was taking part in this activity. Every attempt usually concludes with the parachute opening and landing.

He was regarded as one of the founders of this field—the offender who committed 1,000 charges by jumping against the rocks.

He had been wingsuit jumping for 20 years. Jarno was an expert in coaching, videography, and wingsuit acrobatics. With his expertise in wingsuit leaping, he rose to fame for performing stunts in movies and television shows. He had previously established his coaching center with Mrs. Jenna Gyegi, a professional wingsuit jumper.
