The Triton Poker Series was supposed to have had a grand ending at the Merit Diamond Royal Cyprus. Still, it came to a sad end as Ivan Leow, 39, the co-founder of Triton Poker, died suddenly from natural causes on Saturday, September 17.

All Triton Cyprus events that were still scheduled to take place between September 5 and September 19 have been cancelled to give everyone there the possibility to “say goodbye to his departure together.”
Ivan Leow was born on November 26 1982. His spouse Betty Anne Burns, children Kristine Brubeck (Randy) of Painesville, Ohio, and David Leow (Cheryl) of Napoleon, Ohio, grandsons Zachary Brubeck of Dallas, Texas, Marcus Brubeck (Leesa), and Nicholas Leow, great-granddaughter Ieyla Brubeck of Copley, Ohio, and his siblings Faye, Winifred, and Kenneth survive him.
Ivan made it to a final table 12 times and won events in Jeju and Sochi. Another six-figure cash from him was the victory at the €100k High Roller Event at WSOPE Europe 2018 (€1,251,455) or that Triton High Roller wins for $1.4 and $1.1 million, respectively. His highest tournament win was second place at the Super High Roller Bowl Europe behind Wiktor Malinowski with $2,460,000.
He participated in the $50,000 Short Deck Event before his passing. The poker industry has been severely impacted; thus, playing is currently out of the question.
