Percival Mabasa, a professional radio commentator better known by his stage name Percy Lapid, was shot and killed on Monday night in Las Pias City. Roy Mabassa, a former reporter for the Manila Bulletin and past President of the National Press Club, was Percy Lapid’s older brother. On the 30th, he gave his last transmission.
Percy Lapid, one of the well-known radio commentators and a former broadcaster of DWIZ 882 KHZ AM, was attacked and killed in Las Pias City at around eight this evening, fellow DWIZ radio host Marou Sarne posted on Facebook on Monday.
According to reports, two motorcycle-riding gunmen started shooting at Rapid’s car.
