Another member of the Kansas City Chief’s Super Bowl IV team passes away.
It is reported and confirmed that former Chiefs LB Jim Lynch is no more among us.
At first, the rumour appeared to be circulating over the internet without any proof, but now it has been officially revealed that former Chiefs LB Jim Lynch has passed away at the age of 76. Talk of Fame Network’s Rick Gosselin was the first one to break the news of his death.
Lynch was selected in the second round of the 1967 draught out of Notre Dame. He was a senior defensive co-captain on the group that won the national championship. He was also referred to as college football’s top player and received the Maxwell Award for his outstanding play.
Lynch was associated with the Chiefs from 1967 through 1977, where he played 151 career games. He performed his 11-year NFL career in association with the Chiefs recording 17 interceptions, 18 sacks, and 14 fumble recoveries.
Additionally, the AFL All-Star Lynch was awarded two second-team All-AFL honours in his extensive career.
