South Africa mourns the loss of Deborah Fraser, as the gospel singer died after battling a short illness.

The legendary singer Deborah Fraser died at 56 on Sunday evening. 

Deborah Fraser’s family revealed the passing of the legendary gospel singer in a post on social media. 

“It is with deep sadness [that we] inform you of the passing of our beloved mother, sister, aunt and friend, and gospel musician, Deborah Fraser, following a short illness. She passed on today [Sunday] after midday, in the presence of her family and friends.

“As Fraser’s family, we would like to be given space to process and deal with this very tragic situation,”

It is confirmed that Fraser died by her family and friends by her side.

According to our reports and a viral video on social media, the legendary singer Fraser was unable to walk and was seen in a wheelchair. 

In an interview with the Daily Sun, the South-African gospel singer stated, “I am bound to a wheelchair and couldn’t walk.”

The actual medical reason for her sitting in the wheelchair is still not confirmed. Many sources say she was diagnosed with diabetes. While many, she was sick.

Deborah Fraser left behind her two children, a boy, and a girl.

No updates regarding her obituary have been received by her Family and friends.
