Millionaire Darrell Freeman, 57, who sold his established digital company for $20 Million dies,  his family announced on social media.

“Our beloved father and husband suffered from a serious illness that he succumbed to on the evening of June 28, 2022. As we navigate this unknown territory and difficult time, we ask for your prayers and privacy.”

Freeman was a staunch advocate for emerging Black entrepreneurs. To help other Black people advance in their careers, he mentored, invested in, and toiled alongside them. He encouraged numerous underprivileged people and supported the growth of Black entrepreneurs including the three Tennessee State University students who founded and launched Slim & Husky’s Pizza Beeria chain.

Zycron Inc, a digital corporation, was founded by Freeman. He sold it in 2017 for more than $20 million. He had an extraordinary childhood because he was the first person in his family to enroll in college.

Freeman gave Middle Tennessee State University, a public university, more than $100,000 to start initiatives for first-generation college students. Additionally, he provided a free lunch for the ladies and fervently urged them to advance their careers.
