Gerald White, a former men’s basketball player for the Auburn Tigers living in Atlanta, Georgia, has sadly passed away.

He was a cherished and well-known coach in Georgia who passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, according to a social media post.

From June 1988 to June 1991, he served as the assistant men’s basketball coach at Augusta College. From June 1991 to June 1996, he was the assistant men’s basketball coach at the University of Tennessee.

From June 1997 to June 2000, Gerald was a recruiting coordinator and trainer at Zucker International Sports Agency. From June 2000 to June 2006, he served as an assistant men’s basketball coach at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia.

Gerald White was an All-Star for the Richmond Academy basketball team. One of Georgia’s top players in 1983, he averaged more than 28 points per game as a senior. He declined numerous Division I offers in favor of Auburn.
