Forrest Lewis, a former resident of Durant, was last seen in Aubrey, Texas, following Thanksgiving dinner, and he has since been found dead. He was reported missing last week, and his body was discovered today.
Lewis was said to have been last seen wearing a brown long-sleeve shirt, Nike sneakers, and gray sweatpants. Lewis’ fiancée informed his sister on Thursday that he had driven off and was missing at the time, and she was unsure of his whereabouts.
Lewis’ black Mercedes was discovered Tuesday on privately owned land near FM 2931, three miles southeast of Aubrey, as per the Texas Department of Public Safety. According to written testimony from Trooper C Henderson, the car was heading south “at a high rate of speed” when it turned over, hit some heavy bush, and crashed.
Henderson stated that the inquiry surrounding Lewis’ passing is ongoing. After learning of Lewis’s departure, everyone expressed their sorrow and loss by remembering him and posting tributes and condolences on social media:
“I’m coming to you today with a heavy heart,” the speaker said. In paradise, Forrest has been located and is currently dozing. Nothing more than a horrible accident occurred here. Please send love and prayers to his family and friends. Even though these goodbyes are only temporary, they aren’t any easier. He will appear once more.”
Oh, I’m going to miss him, Forrest’s aunt Lakendra stated. I will always cherish the previous four months. At least two to three Sundays a month have been spent with him. I was always the hovering aunt and the busybody to Forrest, but all I wanted to do was make sure he was okay. I’ll miss your laugh and joking around. Kendra keeps telling me to bring you some lotion. I’m confident she welcomed you with open arms. I’ll adore you forever.
To ease people’s concerns and questions, police are conducting an additional inquiry to determine the fundamental factor that caused the passing of this amazing soul.
