Eloy Gonzalez was a Dallas, Texas-based singer-songwriter. Eloy was born in 1988 in Midland, Texas. He received his degree from Texas Tech. Eloy was influenced by musicians like Marvin Gaye, Nirvana, Buck Owen, and Loretta Lynn at a young age.

Even though they didn’t have much money, his parents gave him a bass guitar when he was 11 and started listening to punk and indie rock bands like Texas and blink 182. He bought a used Ibanez acoustic guitar when he was 15 years old, which opened up new opportunities for composing.
He started a band in the fall of 2007 at Texas Tech University with old pals who were also students there. The Early Birds performed classic rock and pop covers at fraternity parties and other private events.
