Ella Lukse, a 10th-grade student at Providence High School, passed away in a tragic accident in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The School’s Principal sent a message to her parents saying everyone at the School was heartbroken by this devastating news and requested everyone to keep beloved Ella’s family and friends in their thoughts. He says CMS’s Crisis Response Team will be at the School to counsel anyone who needs emotional aid.
What happened to Ella Lukse?
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say the crash occurred on Sunday at 8:57 pm on Raintree Lane. Speeding is believed to be the cause of the accident.
Ella Lukse was travelling in a Volkswagen when it collided with a Jeep heading south. The collision overturned the jeep and caused the Volkswagen to veer off and hit a tree.

The 17-year-old driver of the jeep was unharmed and remained at the scene. It was determined that he had been driving after consuming alcohol and was arrested for it. He will be charged with driving under the influence while under 21. It is believed that more charges will follow as the investigation continues.
Who was Ella Lukse?
Ella was a strong, independent and confident young girl. Her friends say that she worked as a lifeguard at a country club that was not far from where the accident happened. They say she loved her job because she loved helping others. She was an athlete. Ella was always smiling. She had kindness and compassion in her heart. Ella was caring and always put others before herself. She was special. Unfortunately, a bright young woman like herself was taken from the world before her time.
