Eli Palfreyman Cause of Death – What Happened To Him?

20-year-old Eli Palfreyman, a star for the Ayr Centennials, passed away on Tuesday in Ontario after fainting during a preseason tournament game and leaving his group in mourning.

Palfreyman passed out in the locker room during the opening half of an Ayr Farmers Mutual Global Invitational tournament game. Palfreyman was taken to Cambridge Memorial Hospital after emergency services were alerted, where he was later declared dead.

Waterloo Regional Police told TMZ that officers arrived at the North Dumfries Community Complex after receiving an emergency medical call. The cause of death still hasn’t been revealed.

In response to Palfreyman’s passing, the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League released a statement. Out of respect for Palfreyman’s family, the league canceled all preseason exhibition games on August 31 and September 1.

The Ayr Centennials posted a thank you note for their captain, Eli Palfreyman, following his passing.

“Thank you all for showing love to our dear captain and good boy Eli,” the Ayr Centennials wrote on Twitter. “Words cannot describe how much it means to his family/Cen’s family. We are all broken but we feel his arms around us.”

Games in the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League were postponed following the player’s death “out of respect for Eli and his family.”

Eli Palfreyman, a well-known junior ice hockey player, entrepreneur, and social media influencer from Canada was born on July 2, 2002. Mr. Palfreyman is his father, and Mrs. Palfreyman is his mother. Palfreyman had just been designated team captain and played for the Centennials in his second season. Palfreyman participated in 44 games for the Centennials in 2021–22, recording 16 goals and 13 assists.

Palfreyman formerly played for the Atlanta Mad Hatters of the United States Premier Hockey League, the Kitchener Dutchmen, and the Cambridge Hawks before joining the Centennials in 2021.
