Drummie Zeb Died: What Was His Cause Of Death?

Drummie Zeb, one of the legendary names of the music world, passed away at the age of 62.

Drummie’s group Aswad announced the sad news on social media. “It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our brother Angus Drummie Gaye,” the statement said.

“More information will be forthcoming, but on behalf of his family and Aswad, we ask that their privacy be respected at this heartbreaking time,” read a statement from the band, announcing the death.

“Drummie has left us to join our ancestors and leaves a huge void both personally and professionally,” his band added.

The original members of the band were Drummie Zeb himself and Tony Gad, who were currently joined by Sulaiman, Drummie’s son.

He was a good drummer as well as a famous name singer whose real name is Angus Gaye. Zeb, whose parents are from Grenada, attended Holland Park High School in London. He also met his bandmates here.

In the 1970s, the group Aswad rose to fame. He has released 21 albums. They gained attention with hit songs such as Don’t Turn Around and Give a Little Love. They sang Share a Dream with Cliff Richard in 1989.

In 1996, band member Forde left the band. The Aswad group has performed in West Africa and Japan as well as at the Royal Albert Hall in London. The band’s last album, City Lock, was released in 2009.

The cause of death of Aswad vocalist Zeb was not disclosed.
